AMIT Children Regional Office in Baltimore
Location: Baltimore, MD 21209
The assistant will have significant interaction with lay leadership and must provide full administrative support to the director. This will entail working on special projects and fundraising activities as well. The responsibility will be on the development assistant to make sure office is running smoothly and professionally. Development assistant must not only stay on top of their own deadlines, but deadlines of director.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Preparing for and managing meetings
• Management of calendar
• Database management
• Handling of monies, invoices, receipts
• Daily correspondence via phone calls or emails
• Incoming mail management
• Manage special projects on behalf of the organization
• Coordination of travel, scheduling, meetings and conference calls
Candidate Qualifications:
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with board members and donors
• Must not only take initiative, but anticipate director’s needs in advance and meet them
• Must possess strong work ethic
• Must be a self-starter with a high level of professionalism
• Must be extremely organized
• Must be detail-oriented
• Must be able to effectively multi-task
• Must have a positive “can do” attitude
• Must be a problem solver
• Must be able to recognize and set priorities
• Must be a team player and assist all departments when necessary
Must have excellent computer skills that include full working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Word/Outlook/Excel and Power Point
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar position. Strong knowledge of Jewish community is helpful.
